Dr. Itzel Eguiluz holds academic positions at several universities in Madrid and Mexico City. In recent years, she has specialised in teaching international students, delivering courses on Global Health and International Migration. Since 2017, she has been a Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she coordinates the Global Health for Leaders programme. She also works as a consultant for various organisations, including Médecins du Monde (MdM), UNHCR, and Partners in Health, among others. Between 2020-2021, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Economic Research (IIEc), National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She completed her doctorate in International Migration and Social Integration at the Complutense University of Madrid, and holds a Master’s in Health Sciences from Mexico’s National Institute of Public Health. Her research focuses on migration and global health.
